Iron pellets are an edible vitamin-rich iron supplement for piglets. The supplement contains vitamin C, which strengthens the mucous membranes and increases the absorption of iron. The piglets quickly turn to eating the iron pellets, as the pellets have a good taste. The supplement consists of grains, vitamins and iron in the form of Iron Oxide and Iron Fumarate.
Iron pills prevent anemia in piglets, gilts, sows, boars, and can also be used for mink and horses.
Application:
Vitamin-enriched iron supplement for piglets with the aim of covering the pig's need for iron. The iron pellets are sprinkled on a clean and dry floor, where the sow does not have direct access to it.
Dosage:
2 gr. per piglets are allocated daily in a dry place where the sow cannot reach it, from day 3 until weaning.
Sows, gilts and boars: 2 tbsp. of approximately 2 grams per week. Can be sprinkled on the feed.
