Ear tag pliers Allflex Retract O-Matic
Semi-automatic pliers which retract the needle itself when the tag is locked. Retract-O-Matic is intended for ALLFLEX visual ear tags. however, excluding the Ultra series, which is used for official marking of cattle.
The Retract-O-Matic is a pair of pliers with a number of mechanical functions. Therefore, maintenance such as lubrication and checking of the moving parts is necessary for the durability of this piece of tool.
If you are, for example, marking piglets in large numbers for export or the like, the ideal solution is to have two of these tongs. One man puts marks in the tongs, another puts marks in the animals.
Never try to use other makes of pliers for ALLFLEX ear tags, as closing the tags cannot be assumed to have been done correctly.
