Lanolin – Effect:
Lanolin is a so-called emollient, which is moisturizing and moisture-retaining. In addition to its skin-conditioning properties, lanolin also has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties.
This makes lanolin useful for wound care, among other things.
What is Lanolin:
Lanolin is purified fat from sheep's wool. It is secreted by glands in the sheep's hair follicles and forms a protective fatty layer on the wool. This is how the sheep achieve their effective protection against wind and weather.
